My mom's Dog Jake has been apart of the family for 10 years, so my kids( oldest being six) don't know life without him. He has been a wonderful dog, river dog, friend and playmate to the kids. This last week my mom found out that he has a tumor on his spleen that will burst at anytime, when it does he will die and thankfully it will happen in his sleep. His pediatrician said that he probably has no longer than 4 weeks at most and there is nothing they can do to save him. Yesterday we all went down to my mom's and had a great day celebrating the life of Jake and all our memories we have shared with him. We had so much fun and took lots of pictures with him.
The day before we went down to my mom's we watched Marley & Me with the kids (of course we fast forwarded all the adult parts and enjoyed only the dog parts) When it got to the end and Marley died the kids were sad but started to ask questions about where animals went when they died. I proceeded to tell them about Jake and his tumor so they would be prepared when he died. The movie was perfect because Jake is a Yellow Lab just like Marley in the movie so it really hits home for us. At my mom's we also had a FHE (Family Home Evening)on resurrection and explained to them that when our animals die they will be resurrected like us and their body and spirit will come together again and we will be able to see them again. Their faces lighted up and they were so happy. Jake this post is dedicated to you, we love you so much and we are so happy you filled our hearts with joy and love!

USS Midway in San Diego
Last weekend we went down to Encinitas to see my uncle who is a Dr. in Holistic medicine and Chiropractor. While we were there they had a Farmers Market on Encinitas Blvd. so of course we went to check it out. We had Quivers smoothies which are the best, Kettle corn popcorn (yummy), and the best Hot Dog stand around. The kids of course had huge regular hot dogs, I had a Polish sausage dog and Louis had the Hungarian sausage dog...he had to he's Hungarian. They were amazing and so tasty and juicy...okay I am drooling I have to wipe off my mouth.
After that we went into San Diego to tour the USS Midway Museum. The USS Midway is an Aircraft carrier that was used in WWII all the way to the liberaton of Kuwait in 1991. No other aircraft served longer than the USS Midway. This museum opened to the public in 2004 and by 2007 had over 3 million visitors. It was way awesome. Highly recommended.
So here are a few pictures of our tour in San Diego...
This was the Tomcat Jet, the one from Topgun.

The 1 thing I love about Cali and Sunshine...
THE BEACH of course...this last weekend we decided to take advantage of the sun and head on down to the waves. Sitting on the sand you could see Catalina Island so clear and all the way to the top of Mt. Baldy. It was gorgeous. Sad to say, but in savannahs 6 yrs of being alive she has only been to the beach 2 times. This last weekend was her second time but I swear she loved it as if we went all the time. In fact all the kids did. It was such a nice relaxing day, a very much needed break from all the worries and stresses in life. We definitely need to do it more often. So ladies reading this I say we get together and have some fun beach days this summer with the kiddos...
eatin good ol' PB & J sandwiches, What else would you eat at the beach than a SAND wich? Addy dropped hers so many times it was a SAND wich.
she wasn't to sure about the sand and water thing...the water was a little cold.
This picture says it all, if you know my kids then you'll understand. Savannah STILL singing of course, Addy with only one eye open...hahaha, and Kaden well he better stop posing like that or else I swear I'm gonna have 4 girls. He needs a football.
He loved the playing in the sand.
Trying to sunbathe while Brooky sleeps on me, I loved cuddling her.
They all took turns getting buried in the sand, and loved it.
My sweet strawberry punch girl, her mouth was red all day.
Loving her bouncer at the beach.

Brooklyn 9 1/2 months in bath...
So Gorgeous!
I had to capture these moments of her loving the bath. She could stay in there for hours if I let her. She has never cried while giving her a bath, maybe she'll be our water baby!!

Remembering my Childhood through my Kids
As I walk in the girls room to check on them (well to make sure they are sleeping and not talking)I find them like this...I thought it was so adorable. I went back to when I was a little girl and how much fun I had with my siblings building forts, playing house, school, and just having fun being a kid. Savannah put a hideaway tent on top of her bed to sleep in and of course Addison couldn't miss out on all the fun so she joined her. Here they are sleeping inside the tent.
There cute feet hanging out of the tent.
Here's Addison laying on the floor the next night...She must have been so exhausted she just crashed. It doesn't look to comfortable:)

SleepOver and pictures my kids take while stealing my camera!
The kids had their friend luke over for their first sleepover. Well actually it was kaden's first sleepover since he is a boy and kaden kept asking me to have him come and sleep over. As you can see from the pictures Addison thought it was her sleep over as well. I had the girls sharing the bed and the boys on the floor...well it didn't stay that way for long. They watched a movie and ate popcorn and crashed at almost 10pm. Well luke crashed first, my kids were to excited to fall asleep. And then at 6:10am I hear talking already, I was in complete shock. Luke woke up realizing he was not at home and was so happy he had a sleepover he started talking and waking up everyone else. I was a bit tired that day but the kids had fun and atleast we don't have sleepovers everynight...:)
Random pictures my kids take...Gotta love it!
