COLORADO, here we come...

We recently returned home from a week long Road Trip traveling over 3,000 miles with 4 kids, one of them being 2 months and having to stop and nurse her every 2-3 hours and to top it off we all got sick with the cold. Even though it sounds like we had the worst trip ever, suprisingly we had a blast! We traveled through 5 states and had the opportunity to see gorgeous scenery. It was amazing! Since I have so many pictures it will be hard to make this post short. Now come with me and take this journey of our vacation. Lots of sights to see! We headed off on Thursday afternoon and drove 11 hours to Albuquerque,NM. We got in at 3:00a.m. and woke up at 7:30 a.m.-not alot of sleep (of course we were on the kids time) After getting all of us ready we left at 10:45 a.m. and went into Old Downtown New Mexico.

The kids in front of the New Mexico flag
All their jewelry was handmade and of course I had to get something cute!
Kaden on the canon
Louis and I eating at one of their mexican restaraunts-kaden took the picture,he's pretty good.

After seeing the area we went further north into Taos,NM and Angel fire,NM. Taos is Julia Roberts home town, sadly we never caught a glance of her,I was hoping:( These little cities were probably the prettiest places I have been to. I think Angel fire beat taos by a hair. I felt like I was in a dream, the only way I knew I wasn't was because of the loudness of my kids in the back seat asking for more snacks. Those snacks truely did save our trip.

The kids eating Ice cream In front of the famous "Chocolate factory" and sitting next to "Rocky" the Bear who has been on that bench for years.

Up ahead...Colorado Springs,CO. We left the beautiful scenery in NM and went to another gorgeous state of Colorado. Here we spent most of our time on our vacation. We came and visited my dear friend Jodie who let us stay with her for 5 days. She is so sweet to let us come in and change her life for 5 days. She showed us around downtown, including the Denver Aquarium, Hard Rock Cafe for Dinner ,the Colorado Springs Zoo, and the Air force Academy where her husband is stationed. Louiss' highlight of the trip was Mt. Evans "the highest paved road in the world" it actually was very cool. It was a little scary driving up there but the scenery was awesome. I loved Colorado!

All the kids having fun before we went into the Aquarium.

How cute!

Feeding the Giraffe

Rock climbing

Kaden and Louis ( we were coming down the mountain on the ski lifts)

And more pictures in Colorado...
One mre picture of the zoo.

The kids in downtown Denver dancing for money...hey we thought it was a great idea to make some $. The kids were great entertainment for everyone.

Kaden at the Academy in front of the Air force Cadets- great picture!

Addison in front of the "Bomber"

Louis loves planes, his dream job was to be a pilot.

MT. EVANS TRIP...

This shows what you need to do when lightening strikes since we were so high up.

We don't have a lot of pictures of Brooklyn but she was there with us. We had to take this picture of her so she didn't feel left out.

SAYING GOODBYE TO THE HENDRICKS FAMILY...

Thank you so much, We love you guys!

RETURNING HOME TO CALI...

The kids going to bed at the Hotel in Cheyenne,WY. They love sleeping in hotels like their Mommy!

In the middle of the night this is what they looked like-too cute, we had to get a picture.

After their showers we got a picture with Wyoming land in the background.

AWWW! They were holding hands, that's what we like to see.:)

We had huge thunderstorms on the road, the kids were scared but we thought it was pretty neat.

More pictures on the road home

I didn't know if it would be wrong posting this picture but it was so funny I did it anyway...my lovely son. He is just so darn cute!

Well that sums up our vacation. I have so many more pictures to post but of course I can't post them all. We had a great trip and even with it being hard I am glad we did it and we had those wonderful memories with the kiddos.

Well no wonder why it took you all day to post!! Your trip looks soo fun. I wish we could just up and go thousands of miles away from HERE!! I love all the scenery outside of the DESERT, so "why do we live here?" lol!!! Anyways, it looks like you guys had soo much fun, I would have hated the drive with 4 kids, but you survived!

HOW FUN for you and the family... I'm waiting for the kids to get older to pull one like that. Jocelyn and I just went on a girls trip to Utah and it was a blast! LOVED the scenery OUTSIDE of A-town. Loved the peeing off the side of the road pix. Hey, that's better than having to unload at a nasty gas station!
