Santa came...and family time at Christmas.

This was our tree the night before Christmas...and then the kids woke up and to their suprise Santa came and they couldn't stop giggling and smiling...and then the wrapping paper was destroyed and all was well :)

Later that evening we went to my moms to enjoy an awesome Roast Dinner and spend time with family. My mom gave each of us kids a very special Christmas gift from the past. You may think okay that's weird but to us these items were very much a part of our life growing up so they hold much meaning. My brother got the old sugar container we used to have at our Diamond bar house growing up...we had it for years. My mom gave my sister a Ladle from a china set that our Great-Grandma gave her and I received a glass casserole dish that my parents received at their wedding and also that we ate out of frequently growing up. Now I can make casserole dishes out of it for my children...

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow...And so it DID!

Addisons 1st time to see snow.

The snowman we made and named "jolly"

Louis woke me up at 6:45am to look out the window... and all I saw was white. It was gorgeous. So it has been snowing all day long and we have about 13 inches of snow at our house right now. We love it. We went to Target and got snow gloves and beanies for the kids as we came home we tried to park in the driveway but we had so much snow we were slipping and sliding and we had to park out on the street. So to say the least we are stuck at home, but we don't mind because all we want to do is play in it...so we did for hours. We made a snowman named "Jolly" and we had a snowball fight, the kids could barely walk without getting their shoes stuck in the snow. We came inside to warm up by the fire and we drank our Hot Cocoa and watched some Christmas movies together. It's been a GREAT day and one we will NEVER forget. It may not be a white Christmas but it's close enough for us. Thank you for coming snow, come again soon. :)

Christmas Traditions

My family has a few Christmas traditions that we enjoy every year. Our big one is getting together and having a Family Christmas Party. My grandma had 8 children so it is quite a party. We have a family gift exchange, a great dinner, christmas caroling and Santa comes to visit the children and of course they love getting their first little present for the Holidays. Our Christmas Party was on Saturday and it was so nice visiting with family and getting in the Holiday spirit. We hope you all have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR.

On friday the kids and I went down to my moms in La Verne and decorated christmas cookies. This is just another Family tradition that I love to share with my kids. They have a blast smothering the cookies in frosting and sprinkles. They are the best cookies ever at christmas time. This is one tradition I will continue in my family...and one day I will get to do this with my grandkids.:)

On Thursday night the kids and I had so much fun making our first Ginger bread house. The kids are now at an age where we can start having some fun family traditions that we will do every year, and this for sure is one of them. They loved it.

Just another one of her moments...

Oh yes my lively, energetic, wonderful daughter decided to get into my make-up while I was getting ready for church. So she smeared mascara all over her lips thinking it was lip stick. Louis said it would be great for a halloween costume if she was going to be something gothic or scary. Very true!

Floor OR Bed, you pick?

As you can see my almost 3 year old girl Addison has chosen the FLOOR! She has been only wanting to sleep on the floor for about a week. I don't know how or why it started but it did and she makes me laugh every morning I see her sleeping on the floor once again. So today I gave her the option befor eher nap. I said "Do you want the bed or floor?" I couldn't believe I was giving my kid an option to sleep on the floor but as you can see that's the only way she sleeps happily. And that's all this mommy wants.
